APPLY FOR THE 2025 TECHNOVATION FOR GOOD PROGRAM

Welcome to the admissions process for the Technovation for Good (tech4good) program! 

Admission is intended for current rising sophomores – rising seniors who have a genuine interest in pursuing a technology-related career field or wish to explore entrepreneurship or sustainability options. Potential candidates should display their competitive attributes through academic achievements, leadership potential, and community activities. Tech4good admissions committee will assist in the selection of candidates that show potential aligning with the goals of the program. The 2025 program is limited to 25 students. Limited need-based partial or full scholarships are available specifically for students from the following counties: Piedmont Triad Region: Surry, Stokes, Rockingham, Yadkin, Forsyth, Guilford, Alamance, Davie, Davidson, Caswell, Randolph, Montgomery and, Mecklenburg.

Once applications are received, they are screened and reviewed. Applicants will be notified of the next steps.

Applying to the Technovation for Good Program involves:

3. Secure two evaluation forms to be completed online; one completed by an academic reference and another by a professional reference (such as club advisor or work supervisor; no family members please).

  • Deadline: Applications for the 2025 program will be available soon.
  • Program Dates: June 22, 2025, to July 01, 2025
  • Tuition and Scholarships:  We are thankful for one of the sponsors, Alex Lee, Inc. All attending students will be provided with partial to full scholarships to cover the cost of the program. UNCG employees’ children are eligible for full scholarship for the day option. Students needing scholarships must complete this application.
  • Cost: The cost is subsidized due to support from Alex Lee, Inc. (Both options below have partial to full financial support). 
    Residential participant: $1,750 (includes twin sharing room, all meals, field trips, t-shirt, materials for activities during the program, and swag items).
    Day participant: $500 (includes lunch each day, field trips, t-shirt, materials for activities during the program, and swag items).
  • If selected, students will be required to submit a $150 administrative fee, which is a non-refundable administration fee. Contact [email protected], if unable to attend, to avoid being considered a no-show.
